Network maintenance
Please note that from August 1 to 3 and then from August 10 to 12, maintenance work will be carried out on the university network.
As a result, the connection to Azzurra (as well as many other university services) should be impossible on those days.
Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Upcoming training sessions
Two training sessions, free of charge and open to all UCA members, are organized by the MSI next September:
- MPI (7-9 Sept.)
- Practical introduction to deep learning (21-23 Sept.).
New GPU node
A new node equipped with 4 Nvidia A100 80 GB GPU cards has just been put into service. Check this page to learn how to use it.
The limit on the number of GPUs that can be used simultaneously has been increased to 6.
Activity report 2020-21
The Azzurra activity report for 2020-21 has just been published. You can read it by clicking here.
New hardware
Azzurra has just been equipped with the following new equipment:
- A second GPU node equipped with 4 Tesla V100.
- A visualization node with a Quadro RTX 6000 graphics card.
- The SMP node memory increases to 1TB.

Maintenance on Oct. 5-6
A massive cluster update operation will take place on Tuesday 6 October and Wednesday 7 October. The OS and drivers of the whole cluster will be updated. Azzurra will be inaccessible during this period. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Survey about training needs
We would like to know the computing related topics for which you / your students / your colleagues would be interested in taking a training course in 2022. Please complete this short survey.
Molecular dynamics simulations
The ICN research project Simulations of biomolecular complexes involved in chemical senses (olfaction and taste) is taking advantage of the Azzurra HPC cluster.
