{"id":887,"date":"2020-12-01T16:31:16","date_gmt":"2020-12-01T15:31:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/calculs.univ-cotedazur.fr\/?page_id=887"},"modified":"2025-04-16T14:53:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-16T12:53:53","slug":"general-overview","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/calculs.univ-cotedazur.fr\/?page_id=887&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"General overview"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Universit\u00e9 C\u00f4te d&rsquo;Azur\u2019s new HPC cluster, named Azzurra, was launched in early 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Azzurra aims to provide research laboratories and students throughout the University with a high quality and flexible computing platform offering high level intensive computing possibilities (CPU and GPU) and high performance storage space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Azzurra provides Universit\u00e9 C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur computing resources as part of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/univ-cotedazur.eu\/services-for-research-scientists\/opal-computing-center\" target=\"_blank\">OPAL<\/a> project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hardware is hosted on the site of centre Inria d\u2019Universit\u00e9 C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a regional HPC center, Azzurra is positioned between laboratory or team computing machines, on the one hand, and national centers (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.genci.fr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GENCI<\/a>), on the other.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Universit\u00e9 C\u00f4te d&rsquo;Azur\u2019s new HPC cluster, named Azzurra, was launched in early 2020.
